Backyard Venture With My New DSLR

Went out to the backyard with my camera and got some shots in. First time outside with something other than my Note 8 smartphone camera. So far I've taken mostly pictures of all of the animals in the house. More to come there too! Had to give the dogs a break though. I think they were getting a little sick of me following them around with my camera. All of these photos were taken with my Canon EOS 50D and 16-35mm f/4L IS USM

The city utility crew just came through last week and trimmed some branches off of the White Oaks. Had some fresh snow fall yesterday. Made for some pretty subject matter.

This old stump has been sitting around a couple years now. We are supposed to get some good snow later this week so I plan on getting out into the woods with my snowshoes and camera by Saturday.
