Virginia City Nevada

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

Hi to all. Last month took a trip to Virginia City Nevada. Virginia City sprang up when a major silver deposit was discovered around 1859. The TV show Bonanza a western used the street and buildings of Silver City from 1959 to 1973. Bonanza was one of the first TV Shows to be filmed in Color. A wonderful old western town in the high desert of Nevada.

My next post will have pictures of the building where Mark Twain worked for over 2 Years.

Enjoy and share.

Great book! I read life on the Mississippi then Roughing It right next. Couldn't put either one down.

Fascinating. I've been wondering what condition those towns were in ever since reading it. Thanks for posting.

My next post will be right up you alley. Looking forward to you next comments. Thanks.

This is very nice. I like the overall ambience of this place. Looks like a good place to retire to :)

It seems like that town has a lot of retired and working retired. It would be a great place to retire.
Thanks for your time and remarks.
