Cotessey Fete - Car Heaven
Today we headed over to the civil parish of Cotessey for their fete. It's the first time we've been so we weren't too sure what to expect; we had a jolly nice time. We took two cars so my folks could join us and we also took the dog which the wife entered into two competitions. She didn't win anything (the dog that is).
The event was well organised with ample parking and some arts and craft stalls. There were also classic cars which meant I was happy! I mean what's nicer than a good classic Jaguar? A pair of classic Jaguars of course!
I fell in love with a Triumph TR4 but unfortunately I can't get the image to play game as steemit keeps rotating it. So here's a cracking Mustang and a good ol' 'merican truck
It really was a jolly fund day out. Today was the quieter day of the two day event which tomorrow has live music, more cars and stalls and a replica Spitfire and Hurricane fly-bye. I think we'll visit again next year but go armed with chairs and a picnic.
Love the truck!
There was an amazing red one but steemit keeps twisting the photo on its side :(
I'm having the same problem - you've seen my upside down garden - frustrating! Perhaps it will settle down in a day or two. I love driving trucks, my brother in law let me drive his mitsubishi pick-up while I was staying with them. It'll climb an almost vertical slope, just very slowly.
I've never done any proper off road driving - it looks mighty fun though. I got a driving experience for my birthday but that is for super cars - a little different to off road!
I found some markdown that is meant to work with correcting photos but I couldn't get them to rotate.
We saw a load of old cars out on the roads today. I expect there's events all over the place. Saw a hotrod on the hard shoulder of the A1 with several guys looking at the engine
Yes I think the car and steam rally season is here! YIPPPEEEE :)
Those old Jag's are still mean looking cars. I remember them well from when I was a nipper.
I do love a Jaguar. I've had a few S-Types and although not a proper Jag, I loved them (even the broken ones). I may look at getting an older one to restore and show now we have a decent garage.
