Look up Challenge Day 2
Intro
Last week my good friend Allison posted on Instagram about a Look up Challenge she was doing with Dr. Katie Penry. The Look Up Challenge is a 7 day guided challenge and starts every 7 days.
Dr. Penry talks a lot about mom's and their interactions with their young children. So for you parents out there this is directed specifically to you. I do not have children and I still enjoyed this challenge and listening to this podcast.
I struggle with social media and how I interact with it and the influence it has in my life so I decided to take the challenge.
DAY 2
Protected times and spaces.
This idea resonates with me on such a deep level. We are the architects of our lives and so we have to decide what is important and protect those things, including our time and space.
I am a firm believer that our electronics should be for our use and not use us. I have felt my phones pull to check it and notifications to distract me.
Back to my original goal:
Be someone that engages with my phone (and computer) with intention.
Do you have tech free spaces and times?
Pictures
Today as I looked up I became much more aware of COLORS
It does help that it is spring and flowers and trees are in bloom!

Look Up Challenge Day 1
It is amazing what happens when we look up... up from the phone, computer, or even the pavement when walking. Looking into the eyes of someone you care about when talking, watching a sunset, taking in some spring flowers as they bloom, and even actually listening to your kids when they have something they want to share. These things make you feel a part of something bigger, for a little while least. A lot more than staring at a phone will. Good luck on the challenge,... look up, enjoy life a little more.
Thank you for your comments, I totally agree!
