📷 Sunset over Isla Alacran

Isla Alacran of course is not quite an island, as you can see. It is located in the town of Arica, Chile, and, among other things, provides shelter for many boats and yachts, fishermen and a restaurant. It's said that the restaurant is delicious — but I didn’t have time to try it, I just to admire the island and the spit leading to it from a height.

The photo above was taken with long exposure time — 10 sec, so the water became seems to be calm and smooth, silky, but moving objects, such as boats, are slightly blurred. The photo below (taken a few minutes before the first one — the sun hasn't set yet) was taken with a shorter exposure time, only 1/2 sec. Water is more sparkling, ripples and more waves are visible, but moving objects are sharper.

So often there are two variants in which there are advantages and disadvantages. Which to choose? I have to decide. It's good that in the photography we can often choose variants in turn, one by one, and try both) Unfortunately, it’s not always that at least one of them is ideal. But I keep trying!
