My Trip to Historical Places in Antalya and Mugla, Apollo Temple, Waterfall, Saklikent Canyon, Amphitheater

in #photography6 years ago

Hi Steemians,
I want to share with you random photos of places I visit and see during periods when I didn't spend more time with photography before.
First of all, I would like to mention about Temple of Apollon. One of the two temples built during the period known as Roman Peace is the Side Apollon Temple. The name of this temple; as the god of light, beauty and art, it is taken from Apollo, the head priests of Side city.

There are Corinthian pillars on the temple. Part of the Temple of Apollo, which is in the middle of the Byzantine basilica, is dismantled for use in basilica construction.

Some of the large columns of this temple, which are structured in Roman order and in accordance with the peripteros plan, are restored and placed in place. Based on the M.S 150 years, the Temple of Apollo is a truly invaluable heritage with its historical remains.

The Side Theater, which is big enough to accommodate 20,000 spectators, is important in terms of architectural history; like other Roman theaters, not on mountain slopes but on arches. The theater is composed of three sections, cavea, osculture and scene, the largest and monumental of the Pamphylia theaters. The audience section is separated by a diazoma and two cata. The orchestra is in the form of a curve beyond the half circle. The theater used as an arena for gladiatorial races and animal fights during the Late Imperial Period was used as an open air church in the Byzantine Period.

After all Manavgat Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Turkey's best known. If you are tired of the noise and crowds of the city, you are the places to see if you are in Antalya. The waterfall, located in Manavgat, the second largest city of Antalya, is formed by the powerful flows of the Manavgat River. The waterfall spilling over from the cliffs about 4 meters high spreads over a large area. Manavgat Waterfall is magnificent, with spectacular views.

In Saklikent Canyon, you first meet the Eşen Stream, which flows with a terrific rush. You will walk on the wooden staircase, which is furnished with iron scaffolding, and you will reach the clean source that is gushing from under the rocks. You can sit on the sofa where the canyon is built on the flood waters and where the curtains with the rug are laid out, you can eat your pancakes while cooling your feet in ice water, pancakes and trout. If you want, you can meet secret paradise by moving in the car. You can raft in the waters of this rare place where peace and excitement are alike.
