The street stretched endlessly, a deserted canyon of cobblestone leading towards a blinding neon glow. The crosswalk stripes pulsed with a faint, rhythmic light, like a heartbeat in the still night. Tall, faceless buildings loomed on either side, their surfaces reflecting the eerie luminescence, making it feel like I was walking through a digital painting. A sense of unease settled in, a feeling of being watched, though the street was utterly empty save for the distant, beckoning lights.

I walked, or rather, was pulled, towards the source of the glow. The air grew thick with a strange, metallic scent, and the silence intensified, amplifying the soft crunch of my footsteps on the ancient stones. The buildings seemed to lean in, their shadows stretching like grasping arms. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was trapped in a loop, each step taking me further into a place that didn't quite exist, a liminal space between reality and something else.

The neon light grew brighter, revealing a bustling cityscape beyond, a stark contrast to the desolate street I was on. Yet, I couldn't reach it. An invisible barrier held me back, a sense of being perpetually on the threshold, never able to cross. The dream ended with the sound of a distant train echoing through the empty street, a hollow, mournful cry that faded into the silence, leaving me with a lingering sense of isolation and the unsettling beauty of the deserted urban landscape.
