Travel the World with Me - Photo #4 (Step well in West India, Gujarat)
Western India has historically been prone to droughts. That's why step wells are abundant in the region. Over a period of time, the step wells became more ornate, depending on the ruler overseeing the construction.
One such beautiful step well is at the Mothera sun temple in Gujarat, India.
In this image, the reflection of the sun temple can be seen in the water of the step well.
