Muizenberg Beach - Photograph
Muizenberg Beach in Cape Town on the Cape Peninsula, is where I grew up during the 60's. Beautiful wide beach with white sand, colourfully painted bathing boxes on the beach, the Muizenberg Pavilion behind and backed up by the impressive Muizenberg Mountain.

what are bathing boxes used for?
Hi there, they are private changing booths that one can rent.
Thank you for clearing that up for me. I have seen them in pictures and have wondered about them. Here we have public restrooms with showers, but most people wear their swimsuits under their clothes and rinse off with the outside showers before leaving the beach.
