Photos: Kate's story

Hello everyone! :)

This is my friend Kate, the strongest girl I know. She had an accident 7 years ago in which her left knee was damaged and her leg had to be amputated.

To make the whole thing even worse, the guy who was responsible for it was the policeman and he was drunk (I can't get over that fact). That accident happened when she was only 16 years old and it changed her whole life. But let's get to the good side of this story :)

She started to play sitting volleyball, a form of a volleyball for athletes with disabilities and that's when she got a call from Greece, some fashion photographer wanted to make a photo session with her and all the other people who had similar stories and were in similar situations (that photographer works for an agency which encourages people with disabilities to stop being ashamed of their body). That ensured her that it's not the end of the world for her and she finally stopped being depressed about everything that happened.

Recently she got another call, this time from Portugal. Some fashion magazine is making a competition where the winner is going to be their model and she asked me to make another photo session with her (because she signed a contract in Greece so she can't use those photos for any other purpose).

I was sooooooo flattered that she asked me to make photos of her and I'm very proud to show you photos of my beautiful friend Kate! Enjoy! :)
