Storm Clouds Gathering in Johannesburg, South Africa

At first we see through a window in the sky and it looks pretty normal.

A lonely bird sits on a tree looking at the approaching rain. This is just a front for two massive clouds on the horizon.

And here we have two kinds of birds! A steel bird and the normal bird!

The steel bird is rushing home and the normal bird is looking anxiously behind him! They all know what's coming.

I don't know about you but I rejoice in a storm. I love the thunder claps, the lightning spears and the howling wind.
I love the pregnant stillness before the storm as it brings excitement and expectancy with it.
Soon buckets of water come down, driven by fierce winds, the trees kneel before the power as they sway in the wind.

Not an animal is to be seen and everything seems to be subjugated to the storm!
Nature swallows the water eagerly and rivers flow down the roads. But then it is over, driven by the fierce winds, simply gone.
Only the swish, swish of the cars on the tarred roads and the wetness reminds one that there was an afternoon summer storm.
Soon everything returns back to normal.

Is this then not also the same in our lives?
At times we worry, or fear so much that we cannot sleep, the storm in our minds rages just as fiercely.
Each of us have endured many of these storms in our personal lives.
But just as in nature, they soon blow over and everything returns back to normal.
Think about it!
