On The Waterfront
Below is a night view of Manhattan which I shot from Hoboken, NJ. The city is illuminated by its own reflection from the clouds and the light spills into the river setting off the pilings from the old docks which are only exposed at low tide. These disappearing docks along the Hoboken waterfront were the location for the filming of the 1954 film, On The Waterfront, starring Marlon Brando.
