Flight Over Uganda & My Best Picture

Two month ago or so, because it's really hard to keep track of time lately, I flew to Africa.
More specifically, I flew to Kenya to direct a music video as a part of a bigger initiative concerning good people who seek to amplify good causes with the attention music brings to matters.

That's the short story, I stopped on the way there in Uganda to visit a friend of mine who was relocated for a project in Kampala.

Long story short. I flew on a Cesna plane in the sunrise and got to film it.
It was pretty much like a ride in a car. We just came to the airport in the morning, greeted the two workers who were there, my friend did check the oil but that was about it, we were in the air.
I was thinking about where I should place my favorite picture and I wasn't sure. hmm. I mean, where is the best place?! the appropriate.
Well you'll have to guess where I placed it...

Morning village road.

The light was reflected by the mist forming between the trees and bushes.Kind of looked like a giant spider web from above.

When you get further away from the city you get to the bush. It used to be a forest but in these areas the people live in high isolation. Just a few mud brick houses. Even less. So in order to earn money they burn the vegetation and then cover it with dirt, turning it to coals. They sell those coals but the land remains naked, trimmed.

The smell of smoke was accompanying us all through the way... Actually, it was everywhere all the time.

It was such a beautiful experience, and not the only one in this visit, seeing the world waking up from zero distance, watching super small villages come to life, kids riding bikes on the main road. All of it.

Uganda was just a small part of a three weeks journey.
