in #photography7 years ago

You can see the Gaudi's work all over the Barcelona and the city knows how to take advantage of big master's work. Casa Batllo is another masterpiece.

Casa Batllo from the outside. The weather was not perfect and the house doesn't show all its beauty.

The main central part of the house is a big atrium.

Atrium provides the even sunlight to the rooms on all levels of the house. Tiles are light blue at the bottom and dark blue at the top and windows are bigger at the bottom and smaller at the top.
Gaudi also designed a unique system of flaps on doors and under windows to maintain the same temperature all over the house through the year.

This was the tile part of the house. Tomorrow I'll show you more.

Have a great weekend, my friends.

You definitely should. Thanks for stopping by.

it's a beautiful collection of photographs.
I am very interested to see it.

but also very beautiful building his friends

Wow!!! What a unique and captivating house. The curvature of the different parts is stunning. I can only imagine the amount of time that went into creating that much detail. The picture from the outside makes you want to go in.

Such a beautiful house. I love the way you captured the atrium and the tiles along the staircase. Such unique design... I wonder what his architectural drawings looked like? I don't think he could just hand them to the contractor and say build this! Interesting about the temperature and natural lighting controls he built in to his designs!

This is from Wikipedia:

Gaudi rarely drew detailed plans. He preferred to create them as three-dimensional scale models and moulding the details as he conceived them.

That makes a lot of sense it looks like sculpture!

Both external and interior designs of this architecture is so amazing and great to see these pictures and some stuff of interior designs are really unique to watch and literally throwing that artistic essence and the add on value is, there were no guide and you'll provided with headphones and in my opinion it's really great initiative. Thanks for sharing and wishing you an great day. Stay blessed. 🙂

architectural buildings in the picture when the trip is very interesting and extraordinary @oldtimer. But if you have on the photo is definitely more advanced again.
