The Giant Sequoia

The giant redwood trees also known as the oldest and largest trees in the world are located in California; North of Los Angeles and East of Fresno. Scientifically known as Sequoiadendron giganteum or for better English Giant Sequoia, Sierran Redwood or simply Biggest Trees on earth. For example the legendary General Sherman which rises at a height of 275 feet (83 m ) and a diameter of 25 feet (7.7m) and an estimated life of 2300-2700 years(Img.2). There is also the Grant Tree among several thousand other giant sequoias(Img.3). Very impressive when being towered by the entire forest, this feeling of surrealism takes place. Some trees have fallen and provided tunnels for people walk thru (Img.3) as well as cars to drive through. More images to come soon..
