Camping in the Cariboo
Every year for Summer solstice weekend, I head up to this beautiful little place in the British Columbia called Eagan Lake Resort. It's located about 5 hours north of Vancouver in a region of the province called the Cariboo. This name reflects the dense forests, high plateaus, vast number of lakes and the abundance of wildlife. Several years ago a friend of mine found this resort, and ever since we have continued to come back every year. The resort is roughly 45 mins down old logging roads alongside farmlands which eventually open up to this big beautiful lake.
The best things about coming out here is you literally have lake front right outside your cabin door, the fishing is great and there is no cell reception. If you are like me, and you phone never stops ringing this is heaven.
Enjoy your summers everyone, may you all have many great memories made under the stars in 2018.
Cheers from the Cariboo
