Southern Most Radio Station in Europe
It is said, that this small ugly house located on a hill in Παλαιόχωρα, Crete is the southern most radio station for the European avionics air surveillance system. From there you can see far onto the harbor and the small city. It is truly my most beloved spot in the world, despite this very unappealing base. Even our galaxy is visible every night!
