Several popular actors, actresses, and musicians are big-time environmentalists. Some of these eco-friendly celebrities work to protect the oceans, while others want to reduce climate change. A few celebrity environmentalists even started their own foundations.

Mother Earth is our fundamental life-support system, and by becoming aware and responsible now, we can assist in preserving the planet.” She is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme. Through his foundation, The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, Leonardo DiCaprio has raised millions of dollars to protect biodiversity, reduce climate change, and focus on ocean and wildland conservation. Pierce Brosnan supports Greenpeace, and holds a seat on the advisory board of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
