Photography: Missing Autumn / 35mm Film
Autumn is by far one of my favourite parts of the year, specifically for photography. The darker weather accompanied by the shifting colours of the surrounding nature blend together so well.
While the weather gets harsher and the colours begin to fade into winter, I'm always left longing for the return of autumn. That rainy weather, cloudy, and peaceful falling of leaves just appeals to me much more than, for example, a bright summer's day that blinds the eyes and removes a lot of colour from the surroundings.
By the way, I recommend opening the image in another tab to really experience that wonderful grainy film look. As always: shot on my Canon AE-1 on Kodak Colorplus 200 film.
It's a lovely picture. I think that what you view as fall is winter in some parts of the world...
Yeah, here the two are very different. The colours fade off and the weather becomes significantly colder so you don't have that contrast of warmth from colour and slightly cold temperatures.
I was visited a country with snow. It was painfully cold. Also, touching snow without gloves is apparently really painfully cold. But snow is beautiful, and seeing everything covered with snow is just stunning. I guess it's less impressive if you see it every year for a few months.
Nice warm tone of color 35mm film grains ! :)
