This plant is most commonly known as Shialkanta. Its scientific name is Argemone mexicana. The flowers of this plant are stunningly beautiful. However, its leaves, fruits, and flowers all have thorns. When a leaf, flower, or branch is broken, a yellowish sap oozes out.
During childhood, many of us used different parts of this plant as playthings. Although it is considered a weed, it has medicinal properties. Its seeds resemble mustard seeds. Since this flower is not intentionally planted, it is rarely seen.

The bright yellow flowers bloom beautifully, and the plant has a few thorns. Anyone picking this flower must be careful to avoid getting pricked. Due to the lack of intentional cultivation, this flower is not widely known. However, many people recognize and are aware of it due to its unique characteristics.
