RE: Maha Shivaratri - Night of Lord of the Lord and Marijauna
I once heard that Robert Oppenheimer, the man often called the father of the atomic bomb, one said, "I am become death, destroyer of worlds" and attributed these words to Shiva. I think he said that the quote comes from the Bhagavad-Gita. I was just wondering, are you familiar with what Shiva was talking about when he said these words? Is it correct that this quote comes from the Bhagavad-Gita?
@michaellandau
Actually I have not read Bhagwad Gita, but
GOD - Generator Oserver Destroyer
G - Lord Bramha - who created the universe
O - Observer - Lord Vishnu - who observes and maintains the universe
D- Lord shiva belong to Destroyer. So, like the line you said, he is responsibel for the death and destruction as after creation there must be destruction, Its the law of nature
