I call him slantjaw
So we found this fat gator not too far from home. he swam right under our overpass without much concern for us. As you can see it broke it's jaw once and it's now slanted like a broken pair of scissors. he seems healthy though.

So you wake up one sunday morning and see that the Dog got off his chain again and one of these things is in the Pool.....
sadly... things like that could happen... we do have a pool, but no dog... and there are companies that would come remove a gator if it was to show up... its really us creeping up on their territory not them on ours.
Not to freak you out.. but..
In the early 80's SW Flawda was making room for 300,000 new households/year. Human encroachment on Alligator habitat is a fact; we moved into their neighborhood. I used to swim in those waters.
It wasn't too long ago, when I learnt the major difference between an alligator and a crocodile. Personally i am fasinated by these beautiful bodied yet fierce and powerful creatures. Although i still think it would be a great scare to find one in my pool. Nice post.
what a beast! Id be terrified.....maybe he broke his jaw trying to bite through the foundations of the overpass???
I say we make him a pirate pet... put an eye patch on it and teach it to play banjo.. let's do it!
Wow beautiful and the colors are just great in this shot! I love those animals but somehow i'm glad they don't swim under our overpass 😉. I hope he doesn't have pain with his jaw.
hahahaha yeah... well from what I'm told Gators leave humans alone, but I still would not wrestle with it like a puppy.
It is am impressive beast, scary but beautiful, like a little dragon..
its a cuddle dragon.. for the coldest of days!
I call him “Hand Bags”
come on bro!!! don't talk like that about our friend Slantjaw the friendly gator! ;)
Sorry.... you want to go feed the blind sharks?
The diversity of this steemit community is amazing. This @meno at my country is for a nice dish of pepper soup. By now ingredients of spices and condiments would have been set to cook this innocent creature had it been it happened in my country.
ahahhahah I bet there is not a single one of us floridians that would jump in there thinking soup time!!! but it is as you say, different strokes for different folks!
Sure, where I reside, people don't joke with even snakes, it is eaten and the plates licked clean. Sometimes I wonder how our yet unborn generations would do when we finish these creatures.
wow!!!! increible foto!!!
