Elegance and culture in a brief moment, is the magic of civilization and those small aspects that seek the simplicity of the magnificent.

The song that I heard while I finished editing this beautiful image is:

What is lotus flowe?

In the East, the lotus flower means spiritual purity. The lotus (padma), also known as sacred lotus, Indian lotus or Nile rose, is an aquatic plant that blooms in water. Pink lotus flower

In Buddhist symbolism, the most important meaning of the lotus flower is the purity of the body and the soul. The muddy water that welcomes the plant is associated with attachment and carnal desires, and the immaculate flower that blooms in the water in search of light is the promise of purity and spiritual elevation.

Symbolically, it is associated with the figure of the Buddha and his teachings and, for this reason, they are sacred flowers for the peoples of the East. Legend has it that when the Buddha boy took the first steps, in all the places he stepped on, the lotus flowers bloomed.

In the religions of Asia, most divinities are sitting on a lotus flower in the act of meditation.

In the classical literature of many Asian cultures, the lotus symbolizes elegance, beauty, perfection, purity and grace, and is often associated with ideal feminine attributes.

The lotus flower is a mystery to science, which can not explain its characteristic of repelling microorganisms and dust particles.

It is a flower that is used a lot in tattoos with different meanings associated with each color of the flower. In Japan, this flower is often tattooed along with the koi fish, which means individuality and strength.

In yoga, the lotus position (Padmasana) is the traditional meditation posture in which the person crosses the legs, each foot located on the opposite thigh and places the hands on the knees.

Lotus flower - Meaning of colors
Blue Lotus: refers to the triumph of the spirit over the senses, that is, wisdom and knowledge. This flower never reveals its interior, since it is almost always totally closed.
White Lotus: is related to the perfection of spirit and mind, a state of total purity and immaculate nature. It is usually represented with 8 petals.
Red Lotus: reveals the innocence and the original nature of the heart. This flower represents the qualities of the heart, such as love, passion and compassion. It is also known as the Buddha flower of Compassion, Avalokiteshvara.
Pink lotus: Although often confused with the white lotus flower, the pink lotus is the most important and special of all lotus flowers, and is related to divine characters, such as the Great Buddha.
The closed or buttoned lotus flower is a symbol of the infinite possibilities of man, while the open lotus flower represents the creation of the Universe.
