Great post with easy-to-understand explanations!

Ever since I purchased my first featurephone that came with a carl zeiss lens my point and shoot and DSLR cameras have been stored away in a cupboard. I only take them out for the odd trip now and then.

But after reading your post, the interest in my DSLR has been rekindled. Although it is an old Sony Alpha it can still give a run to all the "high-end" smartphone cameras - can actually beat them easily with its caliber.
