The Beauty of Lut Tawar Lake

Fishermen looking for fish in Lake Lut Tawar, Takengon, Central Aceh. Lake area of 5.472 hectares and 17 kilometers long is one of the largest lake in Aceh province, Indonesia.

Coffee in the morning

Around the lake there are several settlements, where most of the people work as coffee farmers and fishermen. One of the endemic fish in this lake is the fish Depik.

To escort the lake located in the highlands of Gayo, Central Aceh district, tourists can use the bus with a distance of about 7-8 hours journey from the capital of Aceh.
