Forest
If I only see in black and white,
in good and bad and
in wrong and right...
I was riding my ebike in the forest today. In the middle of the trail there were three trees that the trail passed over. I had ridden this way a lot before and thought it was interesting how the trees were growing. I stopped to take a picture:
As I looked up at them I noted that all three were dead. I took another picture but wan't really thinking about posing it. People don't usually like picture of dead things. Here it is in black in white:
You can't really see that they are dead in black in white. Maybe winterized or something.
I causally think about my own role in the death of the trees. Perhaps riding my bike over them these past years was part of the issue but I can't really blame myself.
Things are getting drier and in many places around the earth vegetation has been declining since around the 90's. It seems strange.
Even the color of the sky today was not really blue. Not like how I remember it as a kid. Nothing a little Photoshop work won't fix I suppose.
Sometimes things look better in black and white. A forest is just a forest right?
