Visiting one of my Favorite Trees

in #photography6 years ago

There's an old cedar tree in short hiking distance from a local campground that I like a lot. I thought I would share some pictures I took of it.

Here it is in the forest:

I think it must be over three hundred years old but I don't know for sure. The inside has been hollowed out from a fire. It is fun to get inside it.

Here's another view looking up the trunk:

This post was all done on my phone. I was interested in seeing how easy it would be.

Thanks for reading! I always value your support and comments. The pictures were taken by me with my Galaxy S9+ and modified with Photoshop Express

Wow, I heard of such a tree but now seen it. Thanks a lot for sharing dear brother.
This is one of the trees I used to hear in a story of a princess, the princess was chased by the vampires and this tree (such tree) opened up to get the princess in and then closed. This way this is a good tree which protects good people from Evil!!

Very nice, thanks for sharing the story dear brother. There are many older trees like this in the area, it is one of my favorite places to camp.

Wow a very big tree and the tree looks empty amid very strange on the tree but I just saw it, photography is also very good my brother enjoys enjoying it, hopefully @lightsplasher brother also always healthy

So beautifull tree this old tree is hollow from inside but the nature power is always there.

It is hollow but still very strong and has survived many storms and fires.

The cidar tree looks tall and huge it most be very old tree and you photograph was also very clear and of high quality @lightsplasher

Thank you. I think the tree has been here for a long time. The natives used to make canoes out these kind of trees, perhaps they still do.

Wow! What a beautiful tree photography Really your photography is awesome. Thanks for share this post. D :) @lightplasher I'm new to your blog

Big trees are the target of shooting from you today, big holes almost resembling caves and moss attached to the tree to be the decoration of this big tree.

resteem let everyone see it and you take a different atmosphere from nature today. this is great @lightsplasher.

It does look like a little cave in the tree. You could take shelter inside it.

yes I can see it and maybe the age of this tree is hundreds of years and even more. not many trees that grow big in modern times are now more and more fan of illegal logging.

Its surely an old tree.. its like a treasure dude.
You have taken good shot of this tree. Thats we can see this properly. Appreciateable.
How are You buddy. Hope u okay.
Please visit me. You have not visited me for few days.. you surely like my posts

the tree is very old. but I really like the trees that are big because it can make the air and temperature so as not to overheat.

There are many benefits that large trees provide. They are very wonderful.
