HATTUSA

Hattuşaş Antik Kenti Çorum 2.jpg

Hittites formed the first organized state structure in Anatolia, which is the fifth of many important civilizations throughout history. Corum, who hosts this civilization, is both a source of archaeological research and a promising future to protect and present to the public. In order to learn from the past and to carry on our experience today, we also took a trip to this important center. Boğazköy (Hattusa), 84 km from Çorum, is the first known capital in Anatolia. The city, which was established in Kızılırmak's wetlands, offers a good example from the point of view of the land

In the Hattushas region it is thought to have been inhabited since 3000 BC (Milatat First). It was first identified with the excavations made in 1907-1912 that the city was defined by Charles Texier as Hattusa. After the foundation of the Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk directed the first archaeological excavations in this region in Alacahöyük again. The excavated artifacts are exhibited in the Corum Museum, the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations in Ankara and the Museum of Oriental Art in Istanbul. Alan was on the UNESCO World Heritage list on November 28, 1986. It's exciting to see the language they speak, the indo-European family, the nails and the hieroglyphic writings, and the information they transmit today.
