[ENG-SPN] Waterfalls and Underground Worlds / Cascadas y mundos subterráneos

There are many traditions across the globe that insist on locating, behind these marvelous gifts of Nature, the hidden entrance to unknown, subterranean worlds, where antediluvian races would dwell and from which, in reality, many of the ancient philosophies that illuminated the lives and works of numerous Masters throughout human history would originate.

In this sense, there is no doubt that the Asian continent is the first producer of this genuine myth, largely recovered in the turbulent early 20th century by daring travelers and explorers, where the fascinating figure of a Russian traveler named Nicholas Roerich and his passionate search for the hidden city of Shamballa undoubtedly stand out.

So fascinating is the myth that quite a few modern expeditionaries still venture into the darkest landscapes of Tibet in search of the entrance to one of these marvelous worlds, using as an unequivocal reference an imposing and marvelous waterfall—not easy to find, moreover, which would be, metaphorically and comparatively speaking, something similar to the famous mantra from the story of Aladdin—to penetrate that authentic treasure cave, which, since the time of Roerich, has captivated the imagination of many adventurers.

No son pocas las tradiciones, a lo largo y ancho del planeta que insisten en situar, detrás de estos maravillosos regalos de la Naturaleza, la entrada oculta a mundos desconocidos y subterráneos, donde habitarían razas antediluvianas y de donde procederían, en realidad, muchas de las antiguas filosofías que alumbraron la vida y las obras de numerosos Maestros a lo largo de la Historia de la Humanidad.

En este sentido, no cabe duda de que el continente asiático es el primer productor de este genuino mito, en buena parte recuperado en los convulsos inicios del siglo XX por atrevidos viajeros y exploradores, donde destaca, sin lugar a dudas, la fascinante figura de un viajero ruso, de nombre Nicolás Roerich y su apasionante búsqueda de la ciudad oculta de Shamballa.

Tan fascinante es el mito, que no son pocos, además, los expedicionarios modernos que todavía se aventuran, en los más tenebrosos escenarios del Tíbet a buscar la entrada a uno de tales mundos maravillosos, tomando, como referencia inequívoca, una imponente y maravillosa cascada, nada fácil de encontrar, por otra parte, que sería, metafórica y comparativamente hablando, algo parecido al famoso mantra de la historia de Aladino, para penetrar en esa auténtica cueva del tesoro, que desde los tiempos de Roerich, ha ido subyugando la imaginación de no pocos aventureros.
