Vivid Light Festival. A Photographers Dream (if you can nail the settings!)
Hi guys, hope you are all having a lovely weekend. I'm in Sydney for a few months. Taking a break from the insanely hot summers in Mexico. I seem to remember Australian winters being dry and sunny. Not this time round! It's been gloomy and overcast all week. Feels more like I am back where I grew up in London!
We arrived in Sydney a week or so and were lucky enough to catch the last few hours of the Vivid Sydney Festival. Vivid is (to my knowledge at least) pretty unique. It's a light show that turns the whole harbour into a technicolour fantasyland. Because of the way the light projections change colour, photographing Vivid is alway a fun challenge (long exposures will just blend colours into a white glow for one).
I got really lucky with the first shot. I was actually facing the Opera house when the exhibit behind me the lit up like a xmas tree and started going round. It only lasted a few minutes before they stopped and started letting people walk through it. Normally I'm in the wrong place for photos so it made a nice change!

hey @jr-me , how are you? The event is amazing for sure! No photos really do it justice. But I find it a great challenge taking some when I happen to be in town.
