Ghost ship

in #photography7 years ago

The Peter Iredale was a steel barque sailing ship that ran its way onto the Oregon shore on October 25, 1906. It was on its way to the Columbia River when it washed ashore. I took this shot when I was in Oregon. Eerie yet beautiful.

Also, to kind of go along with the "ghost" theme of this post, you can partake in numerous ghost tours in Portland while you are checking out this ship!

A salvage crew discovers a long-lost passenger ship floating lifeless in a remote region, and as the crew members try to tow it back, strange things happen. They discover that the ship is haunted. @jgullinese

That is a beautiful photo, but yes, quite eerie, but things like this fascinate me, pieces of history from the modern distant past, washed upon the shoreline, like a time bubble, just like The Man from Taured whatever the reality of these kind of tales, they make for exeptional sight seeing.
