Photos from Barbados Crop Over Festival 2017

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

The Crop Over Festival is an annual festival in Barbados celebrating the end of the harvest of the sugar cane for the year.

It's a huge party season culminating in Grand Kadooment with costumes and a parade through part of the country. I've never really taken part as it's not really my vibe, but I went down to take a few pictures this time around.

Next year I'd like to spend a bit more time, because you can really get some good shots.

What a beautiful photographs of the Crop Over Festival...love to see..up

These are great photos! I really like how the vibrancy of the color in the costumes comes through. Everybody seems to be having a great time celebrating the end of the sugar harvest.

Beautiful! Do you know why they are wearing wings?

I'm not really sure, it's probably just because feathers are fashionable in this sort of thing and what better to do with feathers than make wings..

Craaazy stunning photo's!!! Looks like a fun time
