Two two-story market buildings and kiosks in Kedai Geudong, Samudera Utara Aceh sub-district were lifted up using two excavators, on Monday (2/24/2020). The demolition involved private officers, soldiers and also other officers. The two excavators were blaring compilations knocking down buildings where traders were looking.

The reason for the demolition was done by reason of building a new market at the location, so that the orderly and Geudong Market area which is a historical place of the Samudera Pasai Kingdom was not chaotic. However, people are still waiting for when the market will be built.
