A PHOTOGRAPH - What's Life Without a Furry Companion?

A pur a day, keeps the doctor away

A friend asked me once why I chose having a cat over having a dog in the house. You should know, I like dogs - I just don't like them near me. It's like having an overly excited cousin in the house who can't wait to do everything with you. That kind of energy just doesn't suit me well. I like cats better though. I like how they just don't give an F about whatever good or bad things you do. " whatever, human! Just be done with the cuddles and feed me." That's how I imagine my cat to actually be - a rude, unscrupulous, selfish cat. A queen. And that's how things are supposed to be, for her, at the very least.

The cat that launched a thousand ships

My queen's name is Jupiter. She is a Persian cat who loves her photo taken in every angle. She has been with me since she was a kitten and that was about three years ago. Jupiter is more than just a cat. She's my friend. You know what, the more time you spend together, the more you realize how these furry creatures actually have a personality and that they also care for you. They get down when you're sick. They don't eat when they see you cry. They get active when they feel your happy vibes. And they express their happiness whenever you get back from work. Aside from the fact that they become your emotional sponge, they tend to align their energies with yours, as well.

Jupiter, as beautiful as she is, is a flirty btch. Yes, she is. During those days where she's on heat, a number of he-cat come outside the house waiting for her to come out. Unfortunately for them, I secured every exit of our house with metal screens. I can't afford to get my baby screwed by some vagabonds. But I guess she enjoys the attention. She sits on an elevated bed that I made just for her watching over the windows as her suitors desperately try to get near her. She's a diva.

It's great having someone who also needs you.

I guess having Jupiter as my companion is one of the greatest decisions that I had in my life. It's not just an owner-pet thing. It helps. It reassures you that you have someone who needs you. You have a friend. It's healthy having to actually live with a cat. It's like having a passive baby that doesn't cry or poops anywhere.
