Barahona Dominican Republic, adventure in photos

Hello again!.

This time I want to show you a beautiful city of my country, Barahona. I went there on a road trip with a group of travelers. It is amazing to share this experience with people who was the same passion as you, even though they were a 90% strangers, I made new friends for life.

On the way

This is a community named Polo, it's famous because there's a magnetic phenomenon that whatever you leave in the street starts moving ALONE upwards the hill (I couldn't perceive it. for me it's a lie but the others were saying it was true) . It's a really touristic place so this kids are always there hoping for travelers give them something (yup. money or food)

And we tried the coffee after seeing how the make it

We took an hour walk to "Mata de Maiz", a clear blue lake as cold as ice. On the road we found this people living in that condition, they were pretty kind talking about the place and the lake with us. They seemed very happy and grateful despite how they live.

The only picture I could take of the lake was this one haha. Sorry I was melting and when we came out it was dark!

Next day:
This is a historical place, it was a prison when we had "Rafael Leonidas Trujillo" as president, a Dictator. The population said that they make prisoners cave their own tomb without telling them, asking them to step in and shooting them. That's why they said this place is haunted. SCARY
