Frost can be observed when surface of the soil cools down to temperature below zero and stays lower than the temperature of the air. These rose hips are great vitamin C source in cold winter time, they are widely used in folk medicine as herbal tea, jam or marmalade, jelly, syrup, powder and even rose hip soup, bread and wine. They also can be eaten as raw berries just be careful and take out all spiky seeds inside the fruit.
