Portraits of a brand
The internet and social networks have become the fundamental basis for the growth of any brand or company, and personal brands do not get away of it. For many people has been more significant to promote themselves through cyberspace than through a curriculum vitae, because they can show to the world them characteristics that the competence does not possess.
All this web universe and technological evolution have allowed many people to show all their work, their talent and skills, and use more the digital world to achieve professional growth rather than just to have fun.
In the search for new opportunities, promotion is vital. The most basic, for example, is to fill out our social network profiles with images that leave the best impression of us and, above all, reveal the trade to which we dedicate ourselves. In this new form of communication, more visual, this is where photography comes into play, allowing us to show our professional profile. The smallest details make the difference and speak a lot about our appearance in the digital world.
All creative work deserves research to cover the needs of the client with the utmost accuracy. When it comes to this type of photography, it is conclusive to define with the photographer the type of images that you want to promote yourself and, above all, what you want to communicate. In my opinion there are several details that mustbe taken into account before the photo shoot.
The fundamental thing is to take into account that the model is the primordial, as well as the face, the look and the expression. It is important that it is transmitted with the eyes, this can be achieved by avoiding very general plans so that the facial details are not lost. Using minimalist backgrounds can help to pronounce these aspects, so the attention is focused on the person portrayed. The right thing is that the photography highlight the image of the model, face and expression, and not elements that interfere with what we really want to show.
Taking these aspects into account helps the model show a bit of closeness, leaving cold and insipid portraits aside. Our goal is to make the person appear accessible and reflect good tuning. We do not wish for any reason that the final result produces rejection and does not engage. It's not about laughing, it's about making the resulting image fresh and friendly, communicating confidence ...
I consider that the look is the most vital in this type of sessions. As they say: "the eyes are the mirror of the soul". Nonverbal communication is very powerful, and can achieve to communicate and express much more than what we can say in words. Here the fundamental is knowing how to handle the codes and bases of visual communication.
