Gorilla
Gorillas are one of the largest primates in the world, known for their stocky bodies, thick black fur, and expressive faces. Gorillas live in the tropical rainforests of Africa, especially in Central Africa. They are herbivores, eating leaves, fruits, and plant stems.
There are two main types of gorillas:
Lowland gorillas: Live in lowland forest areas and are more common.
Mountain gorillas: Live in high mountains with a smaller population and are endangered.
Gorillas are highly intelligent, able to use simple tools, have complex communication skills, and live in groups called troops led by an adult male called a silverback. They also have strong and affectionate social relationships with their group members.
