📷 This time last year - the most beautiful December I remember.
This is a selection of photos I took in December 2016 at and around the Hohe Wand Plateau in Lower Austria, the place where I live. There were many beautiful days so I spent lot of time outside trying to capture all the beauty with my camera. The year 2016 was a horrible one for me, but the beauty of its last days was healing, helping me to recover and to retrieve my confidence and joy.
All pictures were taken with the Nikon D800 with various optics.
This photo of me was taken by my friend @paulallanballard

Darf ich fragen welche Cam Du hast :-)
Danke Yoogy! Ich habe die NikonD800 und etliche Objektive dazu.
Beautiful light in the photos. It is always refreshing coming out for a visit. But, the next time will have to be Spring. I have a trip to Oz first.
You're always welcome to stay Leo!
Too beautiful ,
The last one , i remember them!! ...
I draw something related that plant's picture , i guess about one year ago ...
Yes, that broken branch is alive just by air, light und humidity.
Merry Christmas, man!)
Wish you to overcome your bottlenecks and become something even more unfathomable in the upcoming years!
Damn evil goat eyes make me go nuts!((
Thanks Yaan! Merry Christmas to you too!
Really striking images. The trees in #4 and #5 look like they are made of electricity.
Did you just happen to be hiking when those rams were out?
Thanks! There is a small wild park at the plateau where you can see these goats and other animals. But you'll often meet capricorns and chamois in the wild as well, especially in the rocky areas.
Wow - I hope they keep their distance. I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of those horns.
Stunning photos. I’ve travelled a lot, but have never been to Austria. Need to go - it looks beautiful.
Thanks Tilly!
Breathtaking photos. Amazing how looking through a lens can be a Zen experience. Healing hurts that are unseen and unfelt by others. Peace.
Thank you!
I'm going to ask the pressing question here....
... those berries, are they edible?
It' rose hips. You can actually eat them but they are not very tasty in their raw form. But they can be processed to herbal tea, jam, syrup, marmalade...
Beautiful!
Thank you!
