Live Fire and the Moon

Big bonfire and almost a full moon, pretty magical. Great conditions for something Satanic or Pagan rituals.

How can something be at the same time so beautiful, a necessity for survival and yet so dangerous? I find fire to be one of the most intriguing elements in the world, along with dangerously beautiful women with a mind capable of matching the fire.

Shot with the Nikon D7200 and Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8.

@ginnyannette, try explaining to your kids why objects are distorted by the hot air if you look through it!

Going out with a BANG! Night night!

Sort:

I'm going to need to do some googling, possibly watch a few videos on that one, and then work on translating into child language...my brain hurts already :D

Those pictures are gorgeous! Those sparks flying into the air - awesome. I want to be there. I like to think that there was an excellent sunset that set the stage for this.

I took the kids outside to see the harvest moon. Lovely viewing, but I spent the whole time listening to the yoweling of a cat. Apparently my dogs chased some poor cat up into a tree in the woods. I kept feeling guilty. I told myself he will figure it out and that he has an excellent night light.

Now I'm sitting on the couch thinking I probably should go out there in my underwear with a ladder and rescue the poor thing. That seems like something crazy a person should do during a full moon...

I couldn't help but to chuckle to myself about this because you had just mentioned explaining your children about air and wind. I thought you might like a challenge 😝

Sadly dad set the fire way after the sunset, would have looked awesome with that too, have to talk to him about scheduling next time.

Don't cat always land on their feet? The little devil will be fine! But otherwise, a little crazy person action during a full moon would be fun to spice up the normal life.

I think you are right. No yowls this morning. I'm hoping for the best :)

Love bonfires. We used to have them all the time on our property in Australia.

Doesn’t it just make you feel all cozy and homey when you see a bonfire 🤗

Yep. It’s almost primal

beauty danger. how ever nice clicks.
please can you upvote my photos & follow me. i will follow you. thank you.

Much beauty, very danger, moon soon.

Girl hot, night bang, happy dance

Different temperatures in the air make the light refract like through a lens. We often forget that we are "swimming" in air because we can't see it. Unless on occasions like this when you have a bonfire and a shimmering moon
