It is a wet and rainy day. The bird feeder with the peanuts is still quite full. A tempting treat for any squirrel.

Slippery When Wet

This little squirrel is searching the ground beneath the feeders for peanuts. But there were not enough peanuts to fill his empty stomach.

The source of the peanuts is directly above the little squirrel. It is nearly full of peanuts, surely there are plenty of peanuts to squash the little squirrel's hunger.

The rain coated the pole leading to the peanut treasure with a thin film of water.

The little squirrel takes leap onto the pole and starts climbing. However the pole is slippery when wet. Before the squirrel gets to the peanuts the little squirrel slips down the pole. Undetered, the little squirrel tries again but does not get far before slipping down again.

The little squirrel sizes up the situation and takes another leap onto the pole. The squirrel does not get too far before slipping down the pole again. Alas, the pole is slippery when wet and the little squirrel scurried away to try again another day.
