Flight Shot #3 ~ Megachile Leaf-Cutter Bee.🐝

My third post for today is one of my all-time favorite bees, the Megachile Leaf-Cutter Bee. There’s 150 different species of megachile, so I’m not sure the specific one this is but in addition to having fat, cartoonish feature making them super adorable, this capture made me laugh as she seems to be flying like superman! 🤣 Like the carpenter bee, the megachile is solitary, but like the bumblebee they are fuzzy all over. As their name implies, leaf-cutters cut leaves which they use to line the cells of their nests. I’ve got a cool shot of one cutting through a leaf I’ll post soon.
