Huge Old Elm
A few days ago there was warm and sunny weather and I decided to leave on the nature, away from the city, for 150 kilometers (93 miles), where there are very few people and where nature remained almost in its original form.
On one of the picturesque meadows, near the road, my attention was attracted by an unusual tree. It was a huge very old elm, judging by its size, its age is about three hundred years. Once it was struck by a lightning, having left on this place a mark in the form of the big burned opening, but the tree survived and it is surprising.
That you could estimate the sizes of "the incinerated wound", I in it was photographed, my height of 176 cm (5,8 ft).
Photos were taken on the Nikon D5100 camera with lens AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR.
