Valentine's Day Love Doves
Happy Valentine's Day!
I have a special treat for today, a collection of photographs I took last December, portraying an unbelievably cute couple of doves.
I was strolling down on the Hoe in Plymouth when I noticed some white pigeons on the wall. It was a sunny and pleasant day so I stopped to watch them for a while.
Two of them, one white and the other dark started grooming each other!
I snapped a couple of photos before they separated, but I continued watching them interact.
It didn't take long for them to return to their affectionate play.
It was a real pleasure to see them share an intimate moment. Are they kissing?
It certainly looks like a kiss.
Doves are sacred to Venus, goddess of love. When you see how much they enjoy each other it becomes clear why people associate them with romance and sensuality.
I hope that seeing them warms your heart as much as it does mine.

Yes, they are! I live next to a forest so I get wood pigeons in my garden. They are gorgeous. I find their calls very relaxing. :)
