Inverness to Bristol and back
Recently I took a flight from Inverness to Bristol. The weather was really nice, visibility good and as we took off I managed to snap few really nice aerial photos on my Android phone. First few minutes of the flight were especially entertaining. Once the plane took off we had a great view of Moray and Beauly Firth, Inverness and Kessock bridge.
Shortly afterwards the plane flew pass Loch Ness. It wasn't visible in its entirety because of the clouds but it was still quite a sight. Loch Ness lies along the Great Glen Fault which is responsible for its long and thin shape.
The flight takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Not long before landing at the Bristol Airport, the plane flies over the River Severn famous with surfers due to its tidal bore.
It was really cool to see Second Severn Crossing from the air.
The city of Bristol also looked impressive.
On my flight back to Inverness I didn't get to see Loch Ness, but we flew above the town of Nairn and beautiful Culbin Sands Nature Reserve.
Plane manoeuvred just right to get a really good aerial view of the coastline.
On the last photograph, you can see the harbour in Nairn and the waters of Moray firth.
Thank you for watching. :)
