๐ Happy 4th of July! Fireworks in Detroit! ๐
Detroit is weird sometimes, like when they have fireworks the week before the 4th of July. For some reason, the Ford Fireworks, which is a huge fireworks show over the Detroit River, was last Monday (on June 26th). I guess people just wanted to start celebrating early. I wanted to share the fireworks photos today to be more with the times ;)
Fireworks over the Detroit River
@rahulyadav and I are lucky in that our building is near the river so we didn't have to go anywhere to view the fireworks. So many people flock to our building for the fireworks that we had to put guests on a special guest list in order to have people over that day. Even though there's a lovely 33rd floor rooftop, apartment management had everyone go out to the 8th floor landing to accommodate the larger crowd.
Fireworks are hard to capture!
The fireworks were great! Apparently, there were over 10,000 pyrotechnic effects. The Renaissance Center building blocked part of the view, but overall, it was an excellent place to view the fireworks. The excitement was only slightly dampened by a bit of rain towards the end of the show.
Happy 4th of July to all those celebrating!

Happy 4th Of July from another Detroiter! The city has always had the fireworks a week before the 4th and always during the week. I never understood that myself.
Excellent photos and I love the GIF you created. Can I use it?
Thanks! And sure, feel free to use the GIF. If it's in a post and you can credit me, that'd be appreciated :)
Thank you!
Great shots.
Great pictures! I love how fireworks looks and how many different effects can he made. A friend of mine and myself were just talking about how it was wierd they already did the fireworks. Lol
Thanks! And yeah! It feels weird because how can you beat fireworks to end the day! What else are we supposed to do today?
That's true. The fireworks is what concludes a fun day of 4th of July! Lol
