32 Phenomenal Historical Photographs That Will Definitely Leave You Shocked
Among massive number of photos around the globe from the past, there are a few of them chosen which stand out portraying a whole way of life that has been lost to history. The encounter to the speechless witnesses to history which they portray will never be repeated ever again.

1. The one and only existing photograph of a witness of the Battle of Borodino, fought in the time of Napoleonic Wars on 7th September 1812. It was fought during the Napoleon's invasion of Russia between 130,000 Napoleanic troops and 120,000 Russians. The battle ended up bloody but brought victory to Napoleon. This photo was taken a century later displayed a former soldier who at the time was 117.
2. In the twentieth century, bald men were offered jobs in factories which produced lipsticks to act as 'live dummies' for new products. What job could be better than getting kissed all day and payed for it.
3. Robin Williams wearing a cheerleader outfit, 1979. Robin Mclaurin Williams was a stand-up comedian starting his career from San Francisco and later becoming an actor. He is also credited with leading San Francisco comedy renaissance. The photo says it all!
4. This photo shows Lumber-jacks cutting a massive redwood tree in California, Portland, USA, 1915. This is when tree logging was at its peak. when gold was discovered in north-west California in 1850, thousands showed up in the redwood region. Failing in finding gold, they turned towards harvesting trees for the exploding economy of the west coast.
5. A young Iranian women on a beach back in 1960. Back in the day wearing such short clothes was a big deal. But as you can see the lady seems comfortable which shows that extremism was second to none.
6. Gypsies also known as Roma using a bear to heal back problem, Romania, 1946. We hear these rumors that someone stepping on your back is relaxing. they claim to be healing rheumatism(back pain).
7. The little girl named Alice Liddell who was the inspiration for Lewis Caroll's famous novel " Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" when Alice asked Caroll to tell her a story on a boating trip in Oxford.
8. This is a photograph from the Great Depression Era when flour producers realized that mothers were now so poor that they couldn't afford new clothes for their kids. Hence they started sewing clothes out of flour sacks. The producers then started printing the sacks with colorful patterns and images on them.
9. A machine that sprays perfume, 1952. This coin operated perfume machine dispenses different scents one of them known as "my nana's favourite perfume". Having this kind of amenity in past was a sign of luxury.
Unboxing the head of The Statue Of Liberty, 1885. The statue of Liberty was built by the French in Paris and was gifted to America on July 4, 1884. The statue is of a robed female representing the Roman Godess, Libertas.
