Fragments of Light and Shadow: A Global Journey Through Black & White Abstraction Photography - Part 01
For almost 2 decades I’ve carried my Nikon D40 through cities cliffs coastlines and quiet forgotten places. I’ve been using it since it came out and to this day it’s still my main and only camera (Besides the classic Smart phone for fun). No upgrades no fancy gear just one camera and a deep love for chasing moments.
I shoot everything in black and white straight from the camera. It helps me focus on emotion light and form. Then I give each shot a little touch of creativity in Photoshop just enough to bring out the feeling behind it without drowning it in effects.
This collection is a visual diary built from instinct mood and texture. Every photo was taken in different parts of the world but they all share the same language of silence and shadow.
Let me know what this kind of stripped down photography brings up for you and if you still work with tools that just feel right even if they’re a little old by today’s standards
