      There is no better way to get to know a country than hitchhiking.
      Japan is definitely on my list - thanks for sharing authentic photos :-)

        Hey, I forgot to mention! There is a good book I discovered after I did this. It is called Hitching Rides with Budda, but a Canadian guy that did a lot of hitchhiking and talking with the drivers. His Japanese is better than mine, so he got some deeper stuff.
