They just keep coming! Another of my series of frosticular intricacies. Photo taken on my Nikon D7000.

Not many are aware that this pattern was the inspiration for The Great Wave off Kanagawa. Basically all Katsushika Hokusai did was flip it around and add boats.

...or maybe this is a hollow log in a forest. I'm not sure.

Katsushika Hokusai sure was a lazy artist. Whatever that frosticular intricacy is, it has definitely helped me become a better person. Just look at this awesome art I was inspired to make as a result of your photo:
